This is the bit no-one ever reads...

These are my web design T&Cs:

1- Acceptance of a quote implies that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2- You are responsible for copyright clearance and accuracy of all material. If I am informed of any copyright breach or inaccuracy, I reserve the right to make changes/corrections and/or remove items.

3 - You retain ownership of all material (photographs etc). I will keep back-up copies for technical reasons, but will return these/destroy them at your request. 

4 - You retain ownership of your domain (website name). I will supply you with registration details. This means should you choose to move to another web designer, you can do so with no exit charges. I will endeavour to remind you when your domain is due for renewal, but it will be your responsibility to renew.

5 – I reserve the right to end our agreement and withdraw from involvement in your website at my discretion. If this happens I will refund a portion of the hosting element of the fee.

6 - You may end our agreement at any time, and require me to take down your website. You will not be entitled to any refund in this event.

7 – We will agree at the start: a fee, timescale for the work, what I need from you (photos, words), input from third parties, and a delivery date. 

8 - Once we have agreed to work together, I will require payment of external fees (to cover domain registration and hosting) in advance.

9 - All fees which I pay to third parties on your behalf are non-refundable. 

10 - When the website is up and running and you are happy, I will invoice for the remainder of the fees.  Payment must be made within 30 days of invoicing.  I understand and will exercise my statutory right to claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the Late Payment Legislation if I am not paid according to agreed terms. 9 – I am happy to make ongoing changes, subject to negotiation. My commercial rate for this work is £25 per hour (eg: adding five new photos would take about an hour; revamping the whole site might take eight hours plus).

10 - I will place a link to my website on at least one of your pages. And I will place a link to your website and use it as an example of my work. If you do not want this, please speak to me.

11 – I will host your website through www.lcn.com – a highly reputable and reliable service which I have used for more than six years. If you have any issues with reliability of your hosting, I will pursue any problems with LCN on your behalf. However I am not responsible for any loss of service to the website, technical problems, email outages, spam etc or consequences thereof.
